About this tool

The Faithfull Professional 8.5mm HSS Jobber Drill Bit (117mm overall length) is supplied as a single bit, perfect for specialist applications requiring this intermediate size. The 8.5mm diameter is particularly valuable in precision engineering contexts where standard sizes don't provide the exact clearance needed, or when preparing holes for reaming or subsequent machining operations. Crafted from high-quality M2 grade high-speed steel and fully ground to comply with DIN 338 standards, this drill bit combines cutting efficiency with durability under demanding conditions. The 135° non-slip split point provides crucial starting accuracy, biting immediately into the material and maintaining precise positioning throughout the drilling operation. This professional-grade drill bit is engineered to handle challenging metalworking tasks, cutting effectively through alloy steels, carbon steels, cast iron, hardened alloy steels, and stainless steels with consistent, reliable results.
