About this tool

The Bahco 9629-30 Flat Bit with 30mm diameter is perfect for heavy-duty plumbing, construction, and structural applications. With a working length of 75mm and overall length of 152mm, this substantial size is ideal for drilling holes for large waste pipes, significant heating installations, thick cable bundles, and sizeable fixings in structural timber, beams, and joists. Engineered with a positive cutting angle, this 30mm bit drills holes twice as fast whilst lasting three times longer than conventional flat bits. Made from high-carbon steel and heat-treated all over, the hardened blade is forged directly from the round shaft for exceptional durability. Its winged shoulders enable the bit to first cut the wood and then remove material from the centre section, ensuring a smooth finish and superior swarf clearance. This size features cutting spurs for enhanced precision and cleaner hole edges, crucial for professional-standard work. The hex shank provides secure grip in your drill chuck, preventing slippage during operation.
