Bahco 9629 Hex Shank Flat Wood Drill Bit 38mm 75mm 160mm

About this tool

The Bahco 9629-38 Flat Bit with 38mm diameter is designed for demanding construction and structural applications. With a working length of 75mm and overall length of 160mm, this large size is particularly suited to drilling holes for substantial waste pipes, large ventilation ducting, thick cable bundles, and sizeable fixings in structural timber, beams, and joists. Engineered with a positive cutting angle, this 38mm bit drills holes twice as fast whilst lasting three times longer than conventional flat bits. Made from high-carbon steel and heat-treated all over, the hardened blade is forged directly from the round shaft for exceptional durability. Its winged shoulders enable the bit to first cut the wood and then remove material from the centre section, ensuring a smooth finish and superior swarf clearance. This size features cutting spurs for enhanced precision and cleaner hole edges, essential for professional installations. The slightly longer overall length provides additional reach for deeper drilling applications. The hex shank provides secure grip in your drill chuck, preventing slippage during operation.
