Thor Copper / Hide Hammer 1.6kg

About this tool

The 1.6kg Thor Classic Copper & Hide Hammer delivers substantial striking force for heavy-duty professional applications. With a 44mm diameter head, this hammer is designed for demanding tasks in rail, aerospace and industrial metalworking where significant impact is required alongside the ability to protect sensitive surfaces. The dual-face construction provides outstanding versatility for challenging work environments. The 99.99% pure electrolytic copper face, cut from pure electrolytic extruded copper bars, delivers harder strikes with maximum impact whilst copper's natural non-sparking properties ensure safety when steel on steel contact poses a risk. The compressed, sustainable water buffalo hide face absorbs recoil and dampens sound, offering a firm strike that won't mark finished surfaces - ideal for restoration and noise-sensitive environments. The cast iron head provides exceptional durability for heavy-duty use, whilst the fitted anti-vibration wooden handle, crafted from high-quality hardwood, minimises recoil for enhanced comfort and control even during demanding applications.
