Thor Copper / Hide Hammer 5kg

About this tool

The 5kg Thor Classic Copper & Hide Hammer is the heavyweight champion of the range, designed for the most demanding heavy industrial applications. With a 70mm diameter head, this substantial hammer delivers exceptional striking force for large-scale metalworking, industrial fabrication and heavy engineering tasks where maximum impact is required. Despite its considerable size, the dual-face design maintains the versatility that makes Thor hammers essential professional tools. The 99.99% pure electrolytic copper face, cut from pure electrolytic extruded copper bars, provides harder strikes with maximum impact whilst copper's natural non-sparking properties ensure crucial safety in work environments where striking steel on steel contact poses a risk. The compressed, sustainable water buffalo hide face absorbs recoil and dampens sound, offering a firm strike that won't mark finished surfaces - ideal for heavy restoration work. The cast iron head provides exceptional durability for the most heavy-duty applications, whilst the fitted anti-vibration wooden handle, crafted from high-quality hardwood, minimises recoil for enhanced comfort and control.
