About this tool

The Roughneck Gorilla Electricians Bolster and Removable Guard is a specialist chisel tool designed for chasing out cable runs, cutting through brick, masonry, and plasterboard in electrical installation work. Manufactured from drop-forged and heat-treated Chrome Vanadium steel, this bolster delivers exceptional toughness and durability under repeated hammer impact. Chrome Vanadium construction is the benchmark material for professional-grade striking tools, offering superior resistance to deformation and long-term performance on site. What sets this bolster apart from standard alternatives is its patented non-slip guard, which securely locks onto the shaft and stays in position during use. This directly addresses the common frustration of guards sliding up the shaft on impact — a persistent problem with conventional bolster chisels that compromises hand protection and efficiency. The guard is fully removable within seconds, making it straightforward to work in confined spaces or to achieve flush cuts where a fixed guard would otherwise restrict access. This versatility makes the tool equally effective for general electrical first-fix work and more precise finishing tasks. Features and Benefits: • Drop-forged and heat-treated Chrome Vanadium steel for outstanding toughness and extended service life • Patented non-slip guard locks securely to the shaft — eliminates guard slip during hammer impact • Removable guard provides fast conversion for confined access or
